Very Fun Experience

Overall very fun experience. Joash, our driver, was very nice and accommodating. Tiny bit of a language barrier but he was great at organizing the day to work around the crowds and we would definitely recommend. Both the guide for the bike ride (Reagan) and the lake were really great and super informative. We saw a ton of wildlife too.

Jane our driver doubled as a tour guide - she was professional and enthusiastically answered our questions about the area while we drove to the park. Hells Gate is a fantastic park - note that the bike ride is 8 km, one way, and the way back is a bit uphill. You'll also be taken on a hike through a gorge that is beautiful, full of both hot and cold springs coming from the rock formation. Be prepared to descend into the bottom through winding, sometime slippery rocks, including a 3 ft jump onto rock. You'll climb many, many steps at the end to get out of the gorge. I mention this to be prepared with your footwear and your level of comfort with a very active endeavor. DEFINITELY stay on for the boat tour - wow wow wow to not only the animals and plant diversity but the birds, absolutely spectacular.

Pleasant one day trip

Very pleasant trip. Got to see lots of animals at Hell's gate national park. The gorge is beautiful. Naivasha lake and Crescent island is home to a wide range of birds and animals. It was nice to see them close at hand.

Amazing Day Outside of Nairobi

On my first trip to Kenya I also wanted to see what the country was like outside of Nairobi. I debated between this trip to Hells Gate and a short safari in the Nairobi National Park. I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. The trip was wonderful! Between the bike ride through Hells Gate Park and the hike through the Gorge, every view was amazing. So many animals to see - some very close. The boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see the hippos was likewise a great experience. So many thanks to my wonderful guide Joash - he really helped to make it a wonderful trip. One last note - as a woman traveling alone I felt completely safe throughout the day. I enjoyed every bit!!

Fantastic day trip

Fantastic day! David was a great guide and our driver had ”mad” driving skills. David knew tons about Hells Gate which made the day very enjoyable. Boat trip on the lake was also wonderful. Lunch was not great and overpriced - if I had known I would have ordered something other than the buffet.

Perfect Day Trip!

Highly recommend this day trip. Harrison was our driver and David our guide, both were fantastic and made for a great experience for a day trip from the city. It was great that it was private, it's a long day so it definitely helped to have a private ride. Harrison was happy to make any stops we needed/requested along the way, and David was especially helpful and patient with me when dealing with some of the heights when hiking at Hells Gate. Favorite part was probably either the echo mountain David showed us at Hells Gate, or the boat ride on the lake (you are definitely missing out if you choose to skip that). It was all around a great time and well worth the money.

Highly recommend if you have a day

Patrick and David were extremely knowledgeable and flexible. We had one day before heading out for safari. I can’t think of any better way to spend it! We saw tons of animals. There are no big cats so Hell’s Gate is the only national park you can ride in. Such an amazing experience!

Unique and active way to experience safari by bike

We booked this tour for our second day in Nairobi and we are so grateful we did because we had such a wonderful day! Our pickup was on time and our driver Harrison and guide Jaffar were incredibly friendly and attentive. The drive to Hell’s gate was an adventure in and of itself and my husband and I enjoyed looking at the scenery. The bike ride safari was such a unique experience and we were able to see many animals. Jaffa’s was excellent at taking photos throughout the day and Harrison was an expert driver. We will always remember this special excursion fondly and highly recommend others to discover this as well!

Fantastic tour with amazing guides

My guide Joash was fantastic throughout the trip! He picked me up right on time, and we arrived at Hell's Gate as scheduled. As a solo traveler, I loved how he made the road trip enjoyable with fascinating stories about Kenya, its national parks, and wildlife. Joash's passion and knowledge really shone through! For the bike safari, I was put in a group. Our guide Frank guided our group and was incredibly accommodating, ensuring we had breaks when needed (biking all the way through the park was pretty exhausting, but definitely worth it). His expertise about the park added to the experience. I had an amazing time with this tour company and highly recommend them, especially for solo travelers like me!

Great scenery

The scenery was amazing. The safari aspect was also very cool, while riding the bike I saw giraffes, zebras, hogs and some other animals. Jaffar guidance was amazing. The boat ride was fine, the hippos were cool, and some of the birds as well.

Fantastic trip! We were well taken care of by Jafar and Harrison. From the point of pick up and drop off they both looked after us providing us with lots of information, they were very welcoming. The experience was amazing. Cycling through Halls Gate with Zebras and other animals was phenomenal. The views and landscape was unbelievable. The boat ride was also excellent and we were able to get up close (but safely) to the hippos. A very full day and physical challenging however there is also the option of car drive at any stage the cycling gets too much.

A most do trip. Great to experience rural Kenya. The trip was amazing experience from start to finish. Jaffar and our driver were fantastic and very knowledgeable. The bike ride was fantastic. We passed zebras, warthogs, antelope and giraffes on our ride. The lake and boat just rounded of an amazing. The hike had stunning views across the valley.

The Guides were very professional and knowledgeable and contacted me the day before were on time with everything. Hell's gate and Naivasha were fun and we learned a lot from the experience. Everything was great and planned out. I would do it again and recommend it.
