Kibera, the largest slum both in Nairobi and Africa, is home to more than a million residents packed into an area less than a square mile (2.6 square kilometers). While life here isn’t easy—it’s one of Nairobi’s poorest neighborhoods and the lack of running water and electricity are constant problems—the slum has its own buzzing industries, which include rows of tilted shacks selling produce, charcoal, homemade breads, secondhand clothes, and shoes.

100% recommended. Must do...
100% recommended. Must do when in Nairobi. Rally was an awesome guide. He made us feel safe all the time while showing us Kibera and explaining the way of life. We wish him all the best for the school and keep trying to help the children.

Excellent & Educational Day in Nairobi
I cannot say enough good things about my day in Nairobi. Sam was my guide and he was so very helpful. He provided me with a great description of sites in the city and answered a ton of my questions. The visit to Kibera was something that everyone should experience and not something I will soon forget. Again, thanks to Sam for his amazing knowledge of Nairobi and Kenyan history, culture, religion and politics.

Just book it!!
We had an amazing and eye opening tour of Kibera. Not to be missed, these guys are doing amazing things and share their true experiences of a challenging but open community. Absolutely worth every dollar, that goes back into the school for the young children.
